Mental Health Professional Training Module Part 1: Basic Infertility.
The Basic Infertility Course* is the first in a series of training modules for mental health professionals counseling in the field of assisted reproductive technology. This training module provides mental health professionals with foundational principles of the biology of reproduction, the causes and treatments for infertility, embryogenesis, and the early management of pregnancy. It also provides a broad overview of the psychosocial aspects of infertility and fertility treatment. With a basic theoretical and practical knowledge specific to the clinical area of infertility and the concomitant psychosocial responses, mental health professionals will be able to function in their roles safely and capably, ultimately contributing to improved quality of care and patient outcomes.
*Completing the MHPG Training Modules and acquiring an ASRM digital badge does not present endorsement from ASRM or credentials/certification to practice as a mental health professional in the assisted reproductive technology setting.

Earning Criteria
Required
Complete pre-exam
Complete post-exam scoring a minimum of 70% in two attempts
Completion of at least 80% of activities in each lesson.
